अब साथ भी उनका रहे या न रहे
चलना है मुझे वो चले या न चले
पूछो अभी उससे बहारों का पता
यूँ रू-ब-रू फिर वो रहे या न रहे
तुम आज जी भर के सीसकने दो मुझे
कल क्या पता ये ग़म रहे या न रहे
हम तो कहेंगे जो भी कहना हैं हम
उसकी है मरज़ी वो सुने या न सुने
मुझे मेरी बस राह आ जाए नज़र
ये रात चाहे फिर ढले या न ढले
है ज़िंदगी का अर्थ ही चलना
राह मिल गई मंज़िल मिले या न मिले

आज, ऐसा लगा जैसे
वक्‍त वहीं लौट आया हो...
उन्ही दिनों की तरह
आज भी दरवाज़ा खुला...
तू लाल लिबास में लिपटी
मुस्‍कुराकर मेरा चेहरा देखती है...
मेरे साथ कई लोग तेरी मुस्‍कान पर..
शक भरी नज़रे डालते है,
मेरी तरह वो भी शायद,
तेरे माथे पर लगे...
ब्रह्माण्ड में अटक जाते है!!
मैं मिलता हूं गले तुझसे
और दिल मेरा रो देता है
पता नहीं क्‍या होता था तब,
जब कोई भी गम होता था
तुझसे लिपटकर
सब भूल जाता था...
याद आता है तेरा,
प्‍यार से हाथ थामना,
वो गले लगाना,
जल्‍दी जल्‍दी में आना,
और फिर वक्‍त की रेत सा,
मेरे हाथों से निकल जाना..
वो दरवाज़ा अचानक आज भी
खुला है..
तेरी यादों का चेहरा लिए...
मैं तुझे देखता हुआ
दूर तक निकल गया...
तेरी आँचल की महक,
समा गई है जैसे फिज़ाओ में आज

किसकी मुस्‍कान में तलाशु तुझे आज
किसका हाथ थाम कर आज चलू
किसके हाथों में होगा तेरा वो स्‍पर्श
कहा होगी मेरी मंजिल....

अगर रख सको तो एक निशानी हूँ मैं,
खो दो तो सिर्फ एक कहानी हूँ मैं,
रोक पाए न जिसको ये सारी दुनिया,
वो एक बूँद आँख का पानी हूँ मैं,
सबको प्यार देने की आदत है हमें,
अपनी अलग पहचान बनाने की आदत है हमे,
कितना भी गहरा जख्म दे कोई,
उतना ही ज्यादा मुस्कराने की आदत है हमें,
इस अजनबी दुनिया में अकेला ख्वाब हूँ मैं,
सवालो से खफा छोटा सा जवाब हूँ मैं,
जो समझ न सके मुझे उनके लिए "कौन",
जो समझ गए उनके लिए खुली किताब हूँ मैं,
आँख से देखोगे तो खुश पाओगे,
दिल से पूछोगे तो दर्द का सैलाब हूँ मैं,
"अगर रख सको तो निशानी खो दो तो सिर्फ एक कहानी हूँ मैं" !!!

क्यूँ रुलाते हो मुझे ?
क्यूँ भूल जाते हो मुझे ?
तेरे ही सहारे तो जी रहें हैं हम..
तो फिर क्यूँ अकेला छोड़ जाते हो मुझे ?

हर बात को छुपाना आता है तुम्हें,
रूठों को मानना आता है मुझे,
रूठे हो तुम ना जाने किस बात पर मुझसे,
तो फिर वो बात क्यूँ नहीं बताते हो मुझे ?

जान जाती है मेरी,
जब याद आती है तुम्हारी,
तुम तो मुझे भुला देते हो,
तो फिर क्यूँ याद आते हो मुझे ?

हम जीने के बहाने मरते रहेंगे,
प्यार हम तुमसे करते रहेंगे,
प्यार तो तुम भी करती हो ना मुझसे,
तो फिर क्यूँ यूँ सताती हो मुझे ?

या कह दो ज़हर पीने को,
या कहो फिर मुझे जीने को,
अगर मेरे साथ में नहीं चलना था तुमको,
तो फिर क्यूँ मुझे रास्ता ज़िन्दगी का दिखाया ?

बीच रास्ते में क्यूँ इस तरह अकेला छोड़ दिया ?
